Dave relocated to the Sunshine Coast with his wife, Jen, in 2012 following a brief stint in country Victoria after immigrating to Australia from South Africa. After many years as a successful small business owner in the outdoors industry, on moving to Australia Dave decided to incorporate his passion for art and design into a new small business. The FrameYard was established in 2012 and since then has amassed a growing clientele on the Sunshine Coast – and further afield – including individuals and organisations like Surf Life Saving Mooloolaba.
Living on the Sunshine Coast has allowed Dave to take up another lifelong hobby, paddling, and you’ll find him at Mooloolaba spit canoeing into the sunrise at 5am most mornings (well, some mornings). Dave has a joie-de-vive his 3- and 5-year old grandsons struggle to keep up with, and imbues this love for life into every piece of work that he creates.
